The Passion: Jesus and His Mother

Zechariah 12:10

And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.

Jesus and Mary, a bond divine, A love that transcends all space and time. Mary, the mother, pure and dear, Jesus, the son, our savior near. In a manger, they first did lay, A humble beginning, in Bethlehem that day. Shepherds and wise men came to see, The miracle of God’s own decree. Through trials and tribulations, they did endure, Their faith unwavering, steadfast and sure. Mary’s heart pierced with a mother’s grief, As Jesus hung on the cross, the ultimate relief. But death could not hold him, he rose anew, Conquering sin and death, for me and you. Mary’s love, a guiding light, Leading us to Christ, shining bright. So let us honor Jesus and Mary’s love, A bond so strong, from heaven above. May their grace and mercy, forever be, Our hope and salvation, for eternity.
